Im not the person to even waste my time writing a review, ide just buy something else and never buy this product again...which I will end up doing. But this experience was so bad, I had to inform you.

I went to walgreens on a random run to get sandwich bread [Hostess classic white] , I opened up the package when I got home and it smells like auto shop rags. Like you guys have been cleaning up the BP Oil spill from years ago with the Dough.

Do you guys not taste your products? Im not a person who likes to waste money...this was DEFINITELY a waste of my money.

Monsanto must be behind this..

probably not even real food im eating. I felt like im eating a cancer sandwich.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan

I too thought the bread tasted of chemicals. Thought I was losing my mom itโ€™s so gross. Hostess white bread, claims new recipe, itโ€™s disgusting

I came online to see if this product had any recalls because thereโ€™s no way a company would make let alone sell something edible that smells and tastes like chemicals. I took one bite and was so scared to take another. This cannot be safe.

I agree. I just bought hostess wheat bread and i am wierd.

I bought it because i like bread. I took out a piece and bit into it and spit it out immediately. I eat alot of bread from different brands. I never experienced the taste of chemical from anyone and yet....this is my first time treating hostess bread.

And all i could think was 'WTF!?' This isn't bread. Not real bread anyways. Annnd its left a taste. I have to go brush my teeth.

Im not even exaggerating, its gross. I dont even care if you change it, id probably never buy or eat this again.

I found this because I had to do a Google search to see if I was the only one who has been tasting this! FYI Sarah Lee's butter bread still tastes good if your looking for a normal tasting bread.

Legally you should not be able to sell this bread it smells like a big ball of chemicals.Yuk!!!! Horrible

I totally agree I will not be buying hostess bread again. Not only does it smells bad but itโ€™s not exactly soft around the corners of the bread and I like soft bread. Please stop selling this bread

Just did a search to look at reviews of the white hostess bread because I was so disappointed. It does have a very odd smell to it as well as a weird taste but I pressed on because I hate wasting money.

I got this at Walgreens as well thinking how bad could any bread be?

Its bad and even store brand bread makes this seem like garbage. Please redo the recipe.

Yup bought mine at Walgreens today too. Went to make a pbj and the sour almost vinegar smell was underwhelming, so gross

Forgot to mention...After one *** my son through his sandwich on the ground. I didn't want to waste so I gave it to my dog, by the way it was smothered in peanut butter my dogs favorite snack.

He would not even eat it. He kept on sniffing it and turning away. He will even take medicine with peanutbutter.

I don't know what's in this stuff. It Should come with a black label warning.

Totally agree with above!!!! My stomach hurts!

I just had some of Hostess Wheat Bread and oh my gosh, the smell was disgusting. The scent is now on my hands and incredibly strong, I smell like i was just rummaging through a dumpster with bags of rotten food.

This bread literally smells rotten. The taste isn't any better.

It's horrific and now I'm concerned my mouth is gonna have that dumpster smell to it. Gross!

You nailed it with the description, I went to walgreens as well for the convenience and spent the 3 dollars on this "bread". I initially kept it out of the pantry because it stunk up the whole thing, before throwing it out. It's like they found the taste of "processed" and concentrated it into a bread shape.

Guest

Same problem, I had thought it was just something in the RightAid I bought it from and just made some french toast with it and its something in the bread. They need to test this bread for harmful chemicals because its that bad.

I just bought this bread at Walgreens and I'm taking it back. I thought the smell was the wrapping but it is the bread. Taste terrible.

Same thing happened to us. We bought a bag of Hostess bread on a quick Walgreen's trip in California and it had an awful smell to it, even though the due date was weeks away.

Never will we buy Hostess bread again.

Ew. We threw the whole loaf away.
