Hostess Brands - Chemical tasting Ding *** pastry.
Newly purchased and opened a package of Hostess Ding *** locally, gave my granddaughter a bite and she literally spit it out at me. Shocked at her reaction, I took a bite myself and tasted the most fowlest chemical (like paint thinner) taste ever. Called Hostess to report, appears to be no numbers on this Hostess combo Ding Dong/Twinkie box besides the UPC to verify manufacture location.
They only asked me to retape up my remaining box and return it to them with a shipping label theyโll be sending out to me, along with โWeโre sorryโ coupons.
Out of serious concern I contacted the place of purchase in regards to the Hostess product theyโre selling, they immediately offered a refund (I politely declined) but I just wanted to make them aware of the chemical tasting pastry. It was something that they never came across before and opted to hear from Hostess per recall if necessary to the company directly.
I still have the box/pastry with the concerning chemical flavor/smell. Very seriously concerned having given my grandbaby a bite.
If there are this many complaints, why hasnโt the Hostess company gotten down to this concern with their product?
Last Hostess product I will ever eat.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Location: Huntington Beach, California

I also have the same thing to report from the new Peanut butter dings. I took a bite and immediately overcome by an intense chemical flavor/smell. As others said, like paint thinner.
