Hostess Brands - Chemical-laced Suzy Q
3 comments
I loved Hostess Suzy Qs growing up. I was so excited to see a box of them in the store so I bought them for my kids.
They love anything sweet. When they refused to eat after trying one, decided to try one. The horrible chemical taste was absolutely sickening. I'm afraid that my children and I have ingested some kind of poison.
Food should not taste this way.
This has to be breaking some sort of food safety law. The FDA should investigate!
Reason of review: Bad quality.

Just bought a box yesterday, with a sell by date of Feb 01, 2018. Opened it up gleefully just now and unwrapped...a nasty fume.
On closer inspection, the cake already had mold starting on the ends. Yuck!
I could get past it not looking like the sane kind of cake. Smaller, lighter color, didnโt look as moist. But this is not even close to the same, and seems risky to consume.
Not tasting anything from this box. Returning it.
I just had same experience. My suzy Q had a horrible chemical smell upon first ***.
it was too late, i looked at it and it had white fuzz beginning to grow. It is past sell by date and I purchased from Fry's after the date as well.
Please either make the suzyq's like they used to be or take them off the shelf the new things you call she is back taste dry no flavor and so small , i sure will not be buying Hostess cakes , And i grew up eating them often and loved them I am 73 so ate a lot ,, shame on you for changing things.
